“Right is right only when entire”
Victor Hugo

The statement "The right is right only when the whole," explains that being honest means telling the whole truth without leaving anything. To say that only half of the story is wrong. For example, if you tell your mom that you go to the library to study with a friend, then you and that friend will study for about ten minutes in the library and then go out and hang out with other friends that is already wrong. But you decide to do it anyway and then your mom asks you what you did and everything you say is studied with your friend that you are not doing well. This is incorrect because it is not the whole truth that is considered as a lie. This is also connected with choosing the right thing.

“President Day”

Presidents' Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called "Washington's Birthday" by the federal government. Traditionally celebrated on February 22-Washington's current day of birth-the holiday became popularly known as the Presidents' Day after it was moved to part of 1971's Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation's workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents' Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. The story of Presidents' Day begins in 1800. Following President George Washington's death in 1799, his February 22 birthday became a perennial day of remembrance. At the time, Washington was venerated as the most important figure in American history, and events like the 1832 centennial of his birth and the start of construction of the Washington Monument in 1848 were cause for national celebration.

History of Valentine’s Day

Every February 14 in many places around the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint, and where did these traditions come from? Find out about the history of this centuries-old holiday, from ancient Roman rituals to the customs of Victorian England. The day of romance we call Valentine's Day is named for a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia. The history of Valentine’s Day and the history of its patron saint is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance, and that St.Valentine’s Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. But who was Saint Valentine, and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Approximately 150 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine’s Day the second most popular card sending holiday after Christmas.Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate romance and love and kissy-face fealty. But the origins of this festival of candy and cupids are actually dark, bloody - and a bit muddled.
A drawing depicts the death of St. Valentine - one of them, anyway. The Romans executed two men by that name on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D.

Though no one has pinpointed the exact origin of the holiday, one good place to start is ancient Rome, where men hit on women by, well, hitting them. Those Wild And Crazy Romans. From Feb. 13 to 15, the Romans celebrated the Feast of Lupercalia. Noel Lenski, a historian at the University of Colorado at Boulder, said: "The men who have been born in the United States, Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them, Lenski says. They believed this would make them fertile. The brutal fete included a matchmaking lottery, in which young men drew the names of women from a jar. The couple would then be, um, coupled up for the duration of the festival - or longer, if the match was right. The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men - both named Valentine - on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.Later, Pope Gelasius I muddled things in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine's Day with Lupercalia to expel the pagan rituals. But the festival was more of a theatrical interpretation of what it had once been. Lenski adds, "It was a little more of a drunken revel, but the Christians put clothes on it. That did not stop it from being a day of fertility and love." Around the same time, the Normans celebrated Galatin's Day. Galatin meant "lover of women." That was likely confused with St. Valentine's Day at some point, in part because they sound alike.Enlarge this image,William Shakespeare helped romanticize Valentine's Day in his work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe.
Perry-Castañeda Library, University of Texas.
Shakespeare In Love. The years went on, the holiday grew sweeter. Chaucer and Shakespeare romanticized it in their work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe. Handmade paper cards became the tokens-du-jour in the Middle Ages.Eventually, the tradition made its way to the New World. The industrial revolution ushered in factory-made cards in the 19th century. And in 1913, Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Mo., began mass producing valentines. February has been the same since.Today, the holiday is big business: According to market research firm IBIS World, Valentine's Day sales reached $ 17.6 billion last year; This year's sales are expected to total $ 18.6 billion. But that commercialization has spoiled the day for many. Helen Fisher, a sociologist at Rutgers University, says we have only ourselves to blame. "This is not a command performance," she says. "If people did not want to buy Hallmark cards, they would not be bought, and Hallmark would go out of business."

And so the celebration of Valentine's Day goes on, in varied ways. Many will break the bank buying jewelry and flowers for their beloveds. Others will celebrate in SAD (that's Single Awareness Day), dining alone and binging on self-gifted chocolates. A few may even spend this day the same way the early Romans did. But let's not go there.

“In life as in football, you won’t go far, unless you know where the goalposts are”

A Choice : Poverty or Prosperity
“I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and i decided that I would change that.”
Dr. Ben Carson
This statement is very clear for people who are wasting their time in something that will not give them success, because the poor is an option for those who do not excel in anything, and the wealth is for those who every day strive for most The days to have something that they want, the poor option only you can replace it to wealth, option number one is to try harder and stop wasting your time on something that is only stopping you. Change your poor option to a better.

“ Never give up until you get there”

I chose that title because it is related in my life, when I want something of truth I do not stop fighting for it, I reason to want to achieve it, but sometimes if it is very difficult to get what I want and I say I could not do it, I give myself down and I think negative, and it should not be like that, things are not easy but neither impossible so I must keep motivating until I get there. I say this because I'm playing a sport and when something goes wrong for me everyone goes against me and I disagree with myself because I believe everything, the same happens with my girlfriend, she's in cheer and when something goes wrong for her They blame her as if she was the one who did it wrong just because her group failed at something and she gives herself down. We both want to win something that represents our efforts and I already know what I have to do to achieve it, this will also serve her, "winners do not always win, they just don't give up"

WRONG is NEVER RIGHT

“Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG IS NEVER RIGHT.”
Russell M. Nelson

The statement “Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG IS NEVER RIGHT.” explains that you should never do something if you know it’s wrong even if everyone else in the world is doing it. If your whole school is cheating and the teachers don’t care. Don’t do it because you know it’s wrong and you won’t learn. It also feels makes you feel bad when you know you are doing something CTW. Another example can be if all your friends do something and they tell you it’s fine it won’t hurt you or anyone else but you know it’s wrong don’t do it.

The Cenotes of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula

I chose this beautiful place because I came from there and looked at them in person.
The cenotes are natural swimming holes formed by the collapse of porous limestone, which has revealed a secret underground world of groundwater pools. Most cave caves have fresh water that has been meticulously filtered through the ground, making them so clear and pure that you can see directly through small fish that have fun in the vegetable life below. The outdoor cenotes also have clear water, and are often home to algae rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish and protect your skin. Underwater photographers will be thrilled with the clear waters, which allow aquatic-playground shots in high-definition clarity. The Mayans revered cenotes because they were water sources in dry times; The name cenote means 'sacred well'. Mayans settled villages around these spiritual wells and believed that they were the portal to speak with the gods. Today you can still see why the cenotes held the Mayans in awe. Swimming in the pristine waters feels like stepping into prehistory, where giant tropical trees and vines from wild cathedral walls leading up to shafts of sunlight.
