The 10 Indian commandments

The 10 Indian Commandments

  1. Treat the Earth and all that dwell thereon with respect.
  2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
  3. Show great respect for your fellow beings.
  4. Work together for the benefit of humankind.
  5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
  6. What do you know to be right?
  7. Look after the well-being of mind and body.
  8. Dedicate to share your efforts to the greater good.
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
  10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

Reflection:
The 10 Indian Commandments are "rules" Indians choose to live by. They dedicate their time and energy to fulfilling all of these Commandments. In my opinion I believe these commandments can bring a great lifestyle because it feels good to help and respect others. All these commands encourage you to choose the right. They tell you how to help others, respect the earth and even take care of yourself.

These commands we can apply to our lives because that is what anyone needs to be a CTR person. If you do all these rules you will be a CTR person. It's clear why one of the rules says "do what you know is right".

A Promise

A Promise
“A promise must never be broken”
Alexander Hamilton

This quote means that when you give the promise you always have to make it happen. In other words, you should always do what you say. If you can not do what you say then do not say anything. When you make a promise, see if you accomplish that goal. It will be sad and you will be CTW if you do not do a promise. Just put yourself in the shoes that you made to promise to. How will you feel if you did not promise? You will probably feel sad and angry. People are also going to stop telling you things because you do not think that promises are important. They are going to be like this. You will not end up promising.

Goodness
“Goodness is the investment that never fails.”
Henry David Thoreau

The statement explains that giving your time to do something good just because it's good never becomes counterproductive. Do not expect anything so you never feel bad. Instead, you feel good because you did something good and you helped someone or did something good. For example, help a friend who is in need, even when they do not ask you too much. Do not expect anything, but you will always be grateful. They can even help you when you are in need. It's like karma. You do something good, something good will come to you.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound”(not good)
Joseph Smith
The statement explains that we should tell others or try to influence them to do the right thing. Let people know, especially children what is right and wrong to do. It also should not be popular to make drugs. It should not be popular to leave school and not listen to your parents. Just as if a celebrity had to behave in an inappropriate way that makes it look like it was great to behave that way. Influencers should send a positive message to children and adolescents who idolize them. It should be popular to be kind, respectful, trustworthy and responsible. The things that are right should be popular not the wrong things. Even teens should tell their friends that it is not cool not to do their homework. They should tell you that it's not cool to drink alcohol. We must make them to be a popular and cool CTR person in their place for their own good. If you are a CTR person you should teach them your steps and follow you to be a CTR person.
Spring Semester Break

In my spring break I did a lot of great things, first I finished my homework that my teachers gave me, then I went to practice baseball with my dad and my brothers, then I went to cheerleading competition for my girlfriend Karla in six flags, I had a lot fun with her, then the next day I went to the beach with her and with some friends to record a pre-video, I also had fun. Karla and I caught two crabs that were on the beach pier, we came home tired and Her mom made Aguachiles to eat. Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. I had a baseball game, we won and it was fun because I played well.

Be True
“I am not bound to win, i am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
Abraham Lincoln

This clarification means that you must be with the people who always support you, they are with you because in reality you are one like them, they are people who are always with you or rather they are people who help you, because they understand. The statement also says that not only is winning but also doing the right thing to receive with honor the success of what you did.

“Character is more than Intellect.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is so important because most people know that character matters a lot when it needs its presence. For example when you are doing something and you get angry or do things that other people then see that your character is not correct, that is wrong because you always have to have good character to solve things or simply let go of that courage. Having good character matters a lot because sometimes you get things faster or you do things right.

“I trust that my hard work will pay off”
Tyler Haws
This statement means that when you work hard and try hard, good things will pay for you, the good example of Tyler is good, because he proposed to work hard with his dad and managed to be in a professional basketball team. That's good because you realize that when you want you can do it. I am following the example of Tyler because I am also practicing hard with my dad and to be successful in my future and someday thank him to my parents.
